Sir Edward's Memorial Tournament

Good gentle folks,

The Shire of Shittimwoode invites one and all to the 30th Anniversary of our Sir Edwards Memorial Tournament. Sir Ewdard himself will be in attendance and a Grand Bardic will be held in his honor. All the bards of the land are invited to compose an "Ode to Sir Eddie" in song or verse with an award given to the favored performance.

The Shire Championships for Heavy Fighting, Arts & Sciences, Rapier, Archery and Thrown Weapons shall be held throughout the day on Saturday. Wonderful wares from the fine merchants of An Tir will also be available all weekend!

Gate opens to the populace at 3 PM on Friday, April 18th.
Site closes at 4 PM on Sunday, April 20th. (please be packed and off site by this time)

Please contact the Lady Tianna for merchanting requirements. Only pre-registered merchants and helpers may enter the site prior to gate opening time.

• Age 18 and over SCA members - $12.00 US
• Age 12-17 years - $8.00 US
• Under 12 years - Free
• Family Cap of $40.00 US
• Canadian cash will be exchanged for US dollars prior to paying site fee.
• Sorry, no Canadian checks accepted

We are required to collect a non-member surcharge of $3.00 US for all non-members who are 18 or over.

RV Fee:

• Hookups available for RV's, (water, electric, and dump site available)
• $15 RV fee for each night connected.
• No RV Fee if you can remain self-contained and do not require hook-ups or dumping.

Friday, April 18th

• 12:00 pm Merchant set-up begins.
• 3:00 pm Site opens to Populace.
• 2:00 am Gate closes.

• 7:00 am Gate opens.
• 10:00 am Opening Court. A&S open for contest entries in the Feast Hall.
• 10:30 am Heavy and Rapier Lists open. Sign up for Thrown Weapons and Adult Darts.
• 11:00 am Armor inspection for Heavy fighters and Rapier. Archery field opens for competition. Thrown Weapons competition begins. Adult Dart competition begins.
• 11:30 am Rapier tournament begins, round robin.
• 12:00 pm Heavy fighters’ tourney begins. Silent auction opens for bids.
• 2:00 pm Kid Fun at dart throw. Please bring your parents!
• 2:30 pm Thrown Weapons contest closes.
• 3:00 pm Silent auction ends. A&S competition ends.
• 3:00 pm Archery field closes. Novelty Axe Throw until 4:00 pm.
• 6:00 pm Gate closes. Feast begins at the Great Hall. Dessert auction occurs during the Feast.
• 8:30 pm Bardic begins with Inferno Fire Dancers.
• 9:00 pm Ode to Eddie Contest.

• 10:00 am Closing Court.
• 2:00 pm Site closes.

Saturday Evening Activities

Feast

• Our famous dessert auction and a multiple remove feast will be held Saturday evening starting at 6:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance from our Feastocrat listed below. Each ticket will be $15 per seat and they go fast! Procedes will be donated to benefit the An Tir General Fund.

  Here is the menu:

  First remove:
  breads - rye and wheat
  butter and margarine
  cheese and fruit tray
  medalions of beef tongue and venison
  dipping sauces

  Second remove:
  roast goose with stuffing and sauce (tofurkey upon request)
  peppermint rice
  pears in composte (marinade)

  Third remove:
  roast pig
  meat sauce
  apple moyle
  fresh spring greens

Directions to Site:  Follow I-5 to exit 255 (Sunset Dr/Mt Baker Highway). Follow SCA signs. Turn East onto Sunset Dr and follow for aproximately 13 miles to Cedarville Rd. Turn left on Cedarville Rd. Site is aproximately 2 miles down on the left.
